Details - (Limited Edition 10 Only) The Irukanji dildo is symbolic of the deadly jellyfish by the same name. The piece has a flowing smooth design made from pure 24k gold finished in 18k rose gold and set with a 4 carat pave' diamond band and natural polished timber handle made from native Australian wood.
Artists Inspiration - My design concept for this piece was smooth fluid movement. The sleek and dangerous Irukanji jellyfish would become the inspiration with its erotic fluid opening and closing motion to propel itself forward, but the price for contact with this natural flowing beauty is a powerful sting. I wanted to bring this erotic flow and force to the piece but balance its power using the concept of pleasure through pain, satisfaction through healing. The feeling of the ocean is reflected with the glistening fluid movement of the jellyfish tip over a textured sandy surface meeting the sparkling waters edge, (represented by the 4 carat diamond band) as it meets land (represented by the natural polished timber handle). The timber handle offers the healing as natural remedies are often sort from the fruits and the smoke of native timbers. The rose gold color is reflective of the worlds most beautiful sunset across the clear turquoise waters of Broome Western Australia, where the dangerous Irukanji lives. Colin Burn
